Motorboat!

By Whirt | August 3, 2008

Thongs, bewbs and Mezmerana, the three critical ingredients in the motorboat equation. Fortunately all three existed tonight and the stars aligned (not that Mez could see them, all up in their grill). In the end, they liked it. Next up, Mu’ru!

Oh, and we didn’t one-shot them, so yeah, this part happened, too! Nice pile of bones!

Sunwell is a Fickle Lover.

By Whirt | July 21, 2008

She treats us bad with Brutallus, she treats us well with Felmyst. No Options came back in style with a reasonably quick kill on Felmyst tonight, bringing our boss down count to 3/6. Ideally we won’t pull the gauntlet immediately after the kill next time though :)

Kalecgos is turning into the next Akama in that he keeps showing up after we do the work, and we have found our mass dispel keys. Great work team, now we get to have a twenty-sevensome with two horny bitches.

Professional Screenshots!

Brutallus

Brutallus - Our first real challenge. Challenging not only because he is difficult, but also because this is the first boss that required our guild to change as a whole to overcome it. We have always been very “fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants” style, and with Sunwell, Blizzard decided they simply wouldn’t allow that.

We had to min/max, go through growing pains, and in the end we had to form a raid crafted to beat this encounter. With numerous low % wipes in previous weeks, we knew we had been getting close.

In the end, it took about 35-40 people to really do this encounter, and I speak for the guild when I say “Thank you” to every single one of them. It’s a shame only 25 can be in this screenshot, but it was as much the doing of the people who weren’t present as it was the people that were present.

I recall once thinking I would never wipe on a boss more than I did on Vaelstranz (48 times). That was finally proven wrong with Brutallus. He is a boss we truly earned, and I expect the rest of Sunwell to be as challenging.

Let’s not make it 2 more months before another kill though, k?
